Merton is a village of about 3,500 built along the Bark River, and the Merton Millpond is still the center of it. The mill that gave the town its start is long gone, but the pond and the dam remain, and the village grew around them.
It is genuinely small. There is a village hall, a few businesses, and then countryside, which is the entire appeal for the people who live here. Rolling farmland starts almost immediately outside the village limits.
Merton feeds into the Arrowhead district, so the high school rhythms of Hartland apply here too, and a lot of Merton families spend fall Fridays at the same football field as their neighbors to the south.
Merton clients appreciate that we run the way their village does: by appointment, unhurried, and personal. Injectables, facials, lashes, and waxing, done with actual attention.
The village sits inside the Town of Merton, which is a separate government covering the surrounding countryside, and together they hold a few thousand more. It is a distinction that matters locally and to almost nobody else. Either way, it is farmland, river, and people who like it that way. The village sits far enough from the interstate that the pace is genuinely different, and close enough that nobody is cut off from anything.
