Lisbon is a town rather than a village, which out here means a real mix: established subdivisions on one road, working farmland on the next. It has grown steadily while keeping most of its open space, and that balance is the whole appeal.
The Bugline Recreation Trail runs through Lisbon on the old Milwaukee Road corridor, and it is the spine of the town's outdoor life, walkers and cyclists in summer, snowshoes and fat tires in winter.
