What to expect
The appointment runs about thirty minutes including the conversation beforehand, and the injections themselves take a couple of minutes. Most people describe quick pinches rather than pain, and no numbing is needed. You can drive yourself home and go straight back to your day. Skip hard workouts, lying flat and rubbing the area for the rest of the day. Some people see movement softening within two days, and the full result settles over about two weeks.

Same class of drug, different manufacturer. Both are botulinum toxin type A and both work by relaxing the muscle that creases the skin. Jeuveau is prabotulinumtoxinA made by Daewoong and distributed by Evolus. Botox is onabotulinumtoxinA from Allergan. They are separate drugs, not generics of each other.
How much does Jeuveau cost here? +
$11 per unit, the same as our other tox, so the choice between them is never about us steering you to a margin. A typical frown line treatment runs 20 to 25 units, which works out to $220 to $275. You hear the unit count and the total before anything is injected.
Does Jeuveau work as well as Botox? +
In the largest head-to-head trial ever run on frown lines, 87.2 percent of the Jeuveau group responded against 82.8 percent on Botox. The confidence interval on that gap crossed zero, so the honest reading is that the two performed equivalently rather than one beating the other. Both massively outperformed placebo.
How long does it last? +
Three to four months for most people, which is the same range as Botox. Anyone telling you Jeuveau lasts meaningfully longer is going beyond the evidence. If duration is your main priority, Daxxify is the product with an actual claim to it, at a higher price.
Can Jeuveau be used on my forehead and crow's feet? +
It can, and it commonly is, but you should know that Jeuveau's FDA cosmetic approval covers frown lines only. Using it elsewhere is off-label. That is legal and routine, and experienced injectors do it every day, but Botox holds on-label approval for forehead and crow's feet if being on-label matters to you.
